Celebrate success +++++++++++++++++++ If you wish to be successful, help others to be successful. If you wish to help others to be successful, be successful yourself. Success does not occur in a vacuum. Success is most reliably created in a successful environment. One person’s achievement does not prevent or detract from anyone else’s opportunity to achieve. Quite to the contrary,...
MOMA Party in the Garden
Last night I went to the Museum of Modern Art’s Party in the Garden to see Estelle perform with Kelis, Dania and Damon. The evening started with cocktails, followed by dinner and dessert inside the museum before everyone went outdoors to dance to Estelle’s fantastic 45 minute set. We made friends with Fabienne Stephan from the MOMA who sat at our table. After the party we went to...

Drop the pretense +++++++++++++++++++ One of the most painful types of conflict is also the easiest conflict to avoid. It is the conflict you have with yourself. When the person inside is in conflict with the person you are on the outside, it drains your energy and damages your credibility. Yet in an instant, you can be rid of that conflict. All you have to do is be completely honest about who you...
Billy's Bakery & Bowling
Anyone that knows me knows that I absolutely LOVE cupcakes AND bowling. On Sunday night I went to Lucky Strike with Estelle and a few friends — who also brought cupcakes from one my favorite dessert spots - Billy’s Bakery!
I managed to bowl scores slightly over 100 each game and bowled a few strikes and spares, which I was really excited about. Lucky Strike isn’t the best place...
Tamarind
This last Friday night I went to dinner and a movie with some friends. We had delicious Indian food at one of my favorite restaurants called Tamarind which is located on E. 22nd Street just west of Park Avenue. The service is amazing, the decor is very clean, modern with an open kitchen and the food is wonderful. Also a great sign in knowing a restaurant’s cuisine is authentic is whether the...
Waverly Inn & Umbrella Bag
I had dinner with my girlfriend and a record label executive last week at the Waverly Inn. It can be difficult to get a reservation but definitely a restaurant that lives up to all the hype. The food and service is FANTASTIC. We dined on crab cakes, truffle mac & cheese, lobster, chicken pot pie, etc. For dessert I had banana foster and it was AMAZING. Highly recommended if you ever dine there...

Transform excuses +++++++++++++++++++ When you find yourself making an excuse, take a good, careful look at it. What if you could transform it into a powerful reason for stepping forward? Whatever serves as an excuse for not taking action can instead serve as a compelling reason to go ahead and act. It all depends on how you choose to see it. Stop and listen to the excuses you make. You’ll...
Mother's Day Weekend x Seattle
For Mother’s Day, instead of buying my mother a present or sending her flowers like I normally do, I decided to take a weekend trip home to Olympia and surprised her by bringing my sister Tina along. We flew into Seattle on Friday night and when we arrived, my BFF Carmina (friends since we were 12 years old) picked us up from the airport with her husband Andre.
When we got to my mom’s...
A few days in Punta Cana
I went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic immediately after I came back from Las Vegas a little over two weeks ago to visit my girlfriend who has a gorgeous condo down there and to spend time with a few friends. It was a very relaxing trip and we spent everyday on the beach, ate delicious food and went to sleep before midnight every night. It was wonderful trip and definitely one of my...
Miso & Mochi
I decided while I was standing in the ocean water of Punta Cana (DR) two weeks ago chatting to my girlfriends that I was ready for a dog. They both have dogs (one has a Pomeranian named Harlem and a Shih Tzu named Chuletta, and the other has a Chihuahua named Joey) as well as my friend Kisha (she has a bulldog named Sophie), Christine (she has a Chihuahua named Stella and a boxer named Guinness)...

Sorry. It’s been absolutely crazy last few days. After getting back from Vegas, I went to Dominican Republic the next day. I’ll post up some photos from the trip soon. In the meantime, here’s today’s daily thought - Enjoy!
Success is happening +++++++++++++++++++
Success is not the absence of failure. Success is what happens when you choose to move on beyond failure.

Nick & Mariah 1-Year Wedding Celebration
This past Thursday night I spent in Las Vegas for Nick & Mariah’s 1-Year Wedding Celebration. We all stayed at the Palms Casino & Resort, where the happy couple celebrated with close family friends. The evening started at Simon with an intimate dinner for 50 people, followed by a huge party celebration at the Moon nightclub. Right after midnight - before the couple cut into their 4...
