Monday, Urth & Yogurtland

I had a super busy start to my week doing the usual - pitching, conference calls, e-mails, reviewing of pitches, press releases and activity reports - plus helping to organize the logistics for a special dinner and party this Thursday in Las Vegas - which you’ll hear all about in a later blog.

Kisha and I started our morning with breakfast at the Urth Caffe

We love the coffee there, not to mention the organic ingredients that they use for their food. Today I ate fruit, yogurt and a cappuccino that had the perfect foam. Delicious.

After work we went to LA Fitness to take a kickboxing class that now has me very sore. I guess it’s my punishment for falling off the wagon completely these past few weeks! We went to Bassonova again for a healthy dinner - grilled chicken and veggies.

Afterwards I finally had the chance to experience Yogurtland which Kisha has been obsessing over for the past few weeks and swears is better than Pinkberry. When we pulled up there was a LONG line out the door.

We waited patiently to serve ourselves frozen yogurt which came in a variety of fat free flavors - everything from plain vanilla, banana foster, chocolate, peanut butter, pomegranate, pineapple, coconut, vanilla wafer, cheesecake, etc. before hitting the topping station which had everything from coconut, cheesecake bits, fresh fruit, nuts, variety of your favorite candies, etc.

(assembly line inside)

(They charge you by the weight of the yogurt combined with the toppings - which isn’t expensive at all)

(I tried the peanut butter, banana foster and cheesecake flavor frozen yogurt with coconut, raspberries and some cheesecake bits - sounds like a crazy mix but it actually worked and the flavors didn’t fight each other at all)

After experiencing this place for myself, I have to agree with Kisha that Yogurtland kills Pinkberry for the simple fact that their frozen yogurt actually tastes like ice cream - plus the variety of flavors offered, the larger topping selection and the convenience of being able to serve yourself.

And…I just found out there is a Yogurtland in NYC on Bleeker Street - EXCITEMENT! I have something to look forward to all summer :-)

P.S. I fell madly in love while waiting in line.
